The short version: your photo never leaves your device. We have no server to send it to and no account system. If you accept the cookie banner, anonymous analytics sees which pages you visit — never your photo.
What we collect
There is no account, no email capture, and no contact form that stores anything. If you accept the analytics cookie banner, Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) collects anonymous page views and clicks — never your photo, and never anything about it. If you decline, or don't answer, no analytics loads at all and we collect nothing.
What happens to your photo
Your photo is read by your own browser and processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere, to us or to anyone else — including analytics, which sees only which page you're on, never your photo, its pixels, or its filename. There is no upload endpoint in this product, so there is no copy of your photo for us to store, share, or lose. Close the tab and it is gone.
How you can verify that
Open your browser's developer tools (F12), switch to the Network tab, and use the whole tool from upload to download. You will see the page and its local photo tools load, and — if you've accepted analytics — small requests to Google's analytics endpoints, but no request carrying your image, ever.
Cookies and local storage
We set two cookies directly: one to remember your dark/light theme choice, and one to remember your analytics consent choice. If you accept analytics, Google/Firebase set their own cookies to run GA4 — declining means those are never set. Your local photo tools may be cached by your browser so the site works offline; that cache stays on your device and is never read by us.
Third parties
Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) is the only third party on this site, and only after you accept the consent banner — see Google's privacy policy for how they handle that data. There are no advertising networks or embedded social widgets. If advertising is ever added to the written guides, it will be disclosed here first and confined to those pages.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the updated date at the top of this page will change and the change will be described here.
